Welcome to the Station 97 page
Hi, I'm Lalia Susini and I'm a patient at The Margie and Robert E. Petersen Foundation Rehabilitation Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. I was in an accident on October 22nd and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and a stroke. With a stroke comes paralysis sometimes, and that's just what happened to the left side of my body. When I arrived at CHLA I did not have any feeling or movement on my left side and not much hope due to the severity of my accident. The doctors and nurses didn't let that stop them from having hope that I would walk one day. Not only am I walking, but I'm doing TikToks again! I am excited to be part of the fifth annual Walk and Play L.A. in support of the mission at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
My team is Los Angeles Fire Department Station 97 because I HAD to make it the hospital in order to survive my accident. Paramedic Jose Perez and the firefighters at Station 97 got me into the operating room in the nick of time. I'm celebrating Station 97 and all the first responders who get their patients to hospitals in order to start their roads to recovery!
Lalia Susini is a 12-year-old actress, clothing designer and nationally ranked athlete in Los Angeles. After 61 days in the hospital, she surprised everyone with a remarkable recovery. She still continues daily physical therapy rehab at CHLA as an outpatient. Lalia has partnered with CHLA in an effort to raise awareness for their rehab center.
Lalia plays Young Andy on ABC's Station 19 and will continue acting once she is given the green light by her doctors. She will also begin training soon with Angel City Sports, an adaptive sports training organization. Her clothing line, LATE Clothing formed with her childhood best friend will be in stores beginning Mother's Day 2021. A portion of the proceeds benefit CHLA's rehab center.
